We are fast growing contractor dealing with Fibre optics on daily basis. We are responsible for providing support to the development and maintenance of telecommunication infrastructure, telecommunication technology and telecommunications networks and the diagnosis and resolution of technical problems of our clients. We are also responsible in installing telecommunications equipment and other network sites.
Due to growth in our business, We are looking for Telecommunications Cable Jointers. No qualification or experience is required however a relevant qualification or experience will be preferred. We pay market leading pay rate of $25 to $30 based on your skills and experience. You will get minimum 30 hours per week however you can grab more hours based on your performance. Full training will be provided to the right applicants.
Job description:
Capable of using hand and power tools.
Providing ongoing operational support for troubleshooting, optimizing telecommunication network performance at all terminals including FAT, ABFFP, Network Cabinet, and Customers end.
Civil work (Concrete cutting, Hand trenching both inside and outside boundary as well).
Connects Fibre optic cables to networking outlets and between network outlets.
Hauling underground and aerial cable from access terminal to end customer.
Installing Fibre wiring as required, including cable runs through buildings and ceilings.
Installation of the complete ribbonet system for UFB world, includes ABFFP installation, jointing, fibre blowing, cabinet installation.
Troubleshooting and fixing fibre optic faults, phone lines and internet connection.
Tracing, locating and fixing aerial and underground cable faults.
Examining drawings, specifications and work areas to determine positioning and connections for equipment to be installed.
Installing FFP cabinet, MDU IFFP, GPX, GFAT OFDF and BUDI.
Fibre Splicing, Fibre Blowing, Phone, TV & Internet connections, Civils & MDU/ROW builds for both residential and commercial sites.
Plan, design, and troubleshoot local and wide area network infrastructure, including Wireless Routers, Copper phone lines and Fibre networks.
Tests and certifies Fibre optic cables using specialized equipment (Splicer, OTDR Testers, and Fibre Tracers).
Requirements for this role:
Must have a full drivers license and/or able to convert to full drivers license.
Good communication and Customer service skills
Experience in networking and IT troubleshooting will be an advantage
Must be physically fit and healthy, able to do heavy lifting, working at heights and confined spaces
Willing to work extra hours, and/or weekends and public holiday if required
Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner, focused on health and safety and quality assurance
No Criminal Record and must pass the police vetting and drug checks
